Tufa Temple

As the sun began to peek through the clouds and steal across the early morning landscape, a small stone cairn caught my eye. Placed there by some other traveler, the long shadows seemed to imbue it with a life and purpose of its own.

I was struck by the way it appeared to gaze respectfully at its larger, more permanent neighbor, and we all seemed to be paying homage to the wonderful beauty of tufa and sky.
